Sylvain Leroux is a foremost exponent of the “Fula flute”, the traditional West African woodwind. His 2002 CD “Fula Flute” attained cult-status. Also flute maker, he patented the “qromatica,” an innovation that brings the Fula flute into full functionality. This led him to initiate l’école fula flute, music education project in Conakry.
